Jeanne Griffith of the Socorro Public Library announced the winners of bicycles being given away to the kids who read the most books for the summer reading program. She said 6,500 reading logs were turned in, representing 30,530 “books.” In the teenage category 32,040 pages were read. Ray Vandervoort of Socorro Masonic Lodge #9 was on hand to award the bikes.
